Morphologic Description: Of small size, moderately slender. Protoconch consists of about 3 volutions. Its outer lip is sinusigerous. Postnuclear whorls up to 6. The first one to three postnuclear whorls are sculptured by axial riblets numbering 12 to 14 per whorl. The earliest axial riblets may be slightly opisthocyrt, otherwise they are orthocline to somewhat prosocline. The whorls carrying axial ribs are shouldered, and the ribs themselves are usually more prominent adapically. The profile of subseqeunt whorls is somewhat convex, and their surface is smooth except for faint, orthocline to slightly prosocline growth lines. Dorsal hump and hump to the left of the aperture not developed. Base of body whorl sculptured by a varying number of spiral cords. Outer lip thickened, with or without denticles on its inner surface. Columellar callus moderately well developed, sometimes with a few denticles. A parietal ridge bordering a small posterior canal is sometimes developed. Anterior canal short, slightly recurved.

Holotype: PRI 28734 (NMB locality 15903: Río Gurabo, Dominican Republic, upper part of Cercado Formation, late Miocene).

Distribution: Late Miocene: Upper part of Cercado Formation, Río Gurabo and Río Cana sections, Dominican Republic.
